So this sketchblog is moving to tumblr.

Due to certain circumstances, it's going to be easier to upkeep on tumblr. Namely they have an android app that lets me post images, haha. Blogspot doesn't have a decent android app yet. Which is odd, since both the android OS and blogger are Google owned. Go figure.

MistHead project progress

Been conceptualizing a little something that I would like to make a mold of and reproduce on a small scale. Before researching as much as I should of, I sculpted the thing in an oil based clay. Which is alright, but the best option for a mother mold off of oil based clay is a silicone mold, which does resin casting. I was hoping the repros would be customizable once casted, and that's not exactly an option with resin, haha.

SO, this isn't exactly a failed attempt here, but I will be redoing it in polymer clay.

Found them again, and took a break from the one commission in my que to do the underpainting/color studies in bic and sharpie markers.

Didn't get quite as much done as I'd like, simply because I got indecisive about the exact design of the naga. I had him in my head, but didn't like it once I ended up putting it on paper. (Er, screen). So I tested a few things out, and I think I'm back on track.
